Join Dr. Canan Gunes Corlu and Dr. John Maleyeff as they discuss how they combine academia and industry in their teaching and research.
 
Dr. Corlu is the faculty coordinator for the Supply Chain Management programs at BU’s Metropolitan College and serves as INFORMS Simulation Society's (I-Sim) subdivision council representative, associate editor for the Journal of Simulation, and editorial board member of the Decision Sciences journal and European Journal of Operational Research.
 
Dr. Maleyeff is the faculty coordinator for the Enterprise Risk Management programs at BU’s Metropolitan College; he has held professional positions in the U.S. Department of Defense, RCA David Sarnoff Research Center, and LEGO A/S (in Billund, Denmark). He has also consulted for many well-known consumer products, healthcare, and manufacturing companies.
 
Professors Corlu and Maleyeff are co-directors of BU MET’s Decision Sciences Research Laboratory, which has supported 63 MET graduate students as research assistants since 2018.
